We take your privacy very seriously. In this privacy notice, we seek to explain to you in the clearest way possible what information we collect, how we use it and what rights you have in relation to it. We hope you take some time to read through it carefully, as it is important. If there are any terms in this privacy notice that you do not agree with, please discontinue use of our services immediately. The suggestions, activities, and tools found in MissionShanti are not a substitute for care from medical professionals; and the information found here is not medical advice. This privacy notice applies to all information collected through our App.
Please read this privacy notice carefully as it will help you understand what we do with the information that we collect.
1. WHAT INFORMATION DOES THE APPLICATION OBTAIN AND HOW IS IT USED?
The MissionShanti app does not provide an option to create an account. Therefore, we allow you to use providers of single sign-on services (such as Google, Snapchat) with whom you already have an account create an account with the MissionShanti app. You can determine the personal data that we can access when authorizing the connection with the single sign-on service. We are currently requesting your Google email id/ Snapchat id, Name, Profile Picture.
All your personal data except your email id associated with your Google or Snapchat login are stored only locally on your device and all calculations are done on your device as well. Your photo is stored locally on your phone in our app’s storage. You can optionally backup your data to Google Drive (Android) or to Apple iCloud (iOS).
Backup
We advise our users to regularly backup their data. Our users can choose to manually export the backup file and store it wherever they want or they can optionally make cloud backups. The cloud backups are kept in users’ private cloud space where we have no access.
Android Google Drive Backups
Android users can optionally backup their data using Google Drive. Their backups are stored in their private Google Drive space and count against their quota. We use a secure connection to your Google Account and data is safely stored in a folder where we nor other apps have access. View Google Privacy Policy at https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/.
The email and name permissions within the Android are requested in order to display the account details within the app to inform users about the account which is being used for the backups. The app does not keep email addresses and names within the app. The app asks Google Sign In for a connected account and displays the account info only when accessing the Backup section. Even if the user agreed to anonymous analytics data collection your email address or name is never sent with the analytics data.
iOS iCloud Backups
iOS users can optionally backup their data using iCloud Drive. Their backups are stored in their private iCloud Drive space and count against their quota. iCloud secures your information by encrypting it when it’s in transit, storing it in iCloud in an encrypted format, and using secure tokens for authentication. For certain sensitive information, Apple uses end-to-end encryption. This means that only you can access your information, and only on devices where you’re signed into iCloud. Information automatically collected
We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use or navigate the App. This information does not reveal your specific identity (like your name or contact information) but may include device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, information about how and when you use our App and other technical information. This information is primarily needed to maintain the security and operation of our App, and for our internal analytics and reporting purposes.
2. HOW DO WE USE YOUR INFORMATION?
Analytics
We may use your information for data analysis, identifying usage trends to evaluate and improve our App and your experience. We may use and store this information in aggregated and anonymized form so that it is not associated with individual end users and does not include personal information. We will not use identifiable personal information without your consent.
Our application may collect some usage data that are essential for us to deliver our services, to understand your needs, and to improve our services. Such as app launches, taps, clicks, scrolling information, screen visits, session durations, or other information about how users interact with our app. The application may also collect crashes and performance reports so we can improve the stability and performance of our app.
The application does NOT collect any user-generated content, such as mood scale or mood data. Your entries are truly private and fully under your control.
Android
We use the following third-party services for our Android app:

- This service helps us to collect and analyze usage data in order to understand usage patterns and to improve our Android app.
- Data collected: various usage and device data such as cookies, unique device identifiers, Android Advertising ID, Firebase installation IDs, Analytics App Instance IDs, usage data, anonymized IP addresses, session durations, device models, operating systems, geography, in-app purchases, first launches, app opens, app updates.
- Data retention: 2 months.
Firebase Crashlytics (Google Inc.)
- This service helps us to identify crashes and errors in our app. It helps us to improve the reliability and stability of our Android app.
- Data collected: Crashlytics Installation UUIDs, crash traces, device models, geography, operating systems.
iOS
We use the following third-party services for our iOS app:

3. WILL YOUR INFORMATION BE SHARED WITH ANYONE?
Mission Shanti does not sell Personal Data. However, We may process or share your data that we hold based on the following legal basis:
- Hosting, technology and communication providers.
- Legal Obligations: We may disclose your information where we are legally required to do so in order to comply with applicable law, governmental requests, a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process, such as in response to a court order or a subpoena (including in response to public authorities to meet national security or law enforcement requirements).
4. DO WE USE COOKIES AND OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES?
MissionShanti Mobile app doesn’t make use of cookies for tracking.
5. IS YOUR INFORMATION TRANSFERRED INTERNATIONALLY?
Our servers are located in the AWS US East 1 (North Virginia) and/or AWS US East 2 (Ohio) regions. If you are accessing our App from outside, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed by us in our facilities in the US.
6. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this privacy notice.
7. DO CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS HAVE SPECIFIC PRIVACY RIGHTS?
If you are under 18 years of age, reside in California, and have a registered account with the App, you have the right to request removal of your data on the App. To request removal of such data, please delete your account and information from within the app on your own, by going to the Profile menu and pressing “Delete Account” or contact us using the contact information provided below, and include the email address associated with your account and a statement that you reside in California. We will make sure the data is not publicly displayed on the App, but please be aware that the data may not be completely or comprehensively removed from all our systems (e.g. backups, etc.).
8. DO WE MAKE UPDATES TO THIS NOTICE?
We may update this privacy notice from time to time in response to the changing legal, technical, or business developments. The updated version will be indicated by an updated “Effective” date and the updated version will be effective as soon as it is accessible. If we make material changes to this privacy notice, we may notify you either by prominently posting a notice of such changes or by directly sending you a notification. We encourage you to review this privacy notice frequently to be informed of how we are protecting your information.
